The Glenrothes Robur Reserve is named for Quercus Robur, the Latin name of the European oak, which is the raw material for the Spanish sherry casks, and contains a greater proportion of single malt Scotch whisky aged in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks. Aromas of ripe, dark fruits, berries, spices and almonds are followed by flavours of sweet prunes, nutmeg, chocolate, sultanas and a hint of clove. Surely one of the finest Glenrothes expressions on the market.
