In 1839, Charles Tanqueray created a spiced gin using botanicals from Malaysia and it was this recipe, found in his notebook, which inspired the Tanqueray distillers to create Tanqueray Malacca. Named after a city, it is made with peppercorns, rose petals, cloves and cardamom as well as the four Tanqueray botanicals in Tanqueray London Dry, A sweeter gin with less juniper emphasis and more citrus than the classic style, Tanqueray Malacca has a complex and spicy finish.
