The Spytail Rum Company is based in the cognac region of France: famous for not only its namesake brandy, but also the production of some of the finest spirits and liqueurs in the world. The company’s name pays homage to the submarine, SPYTAIL, as the first mechanical submarines were not only invented in France, they were tested within the Charente River which flows near their distillery. Its Black Ginger Rum is made using a blend of Caribbean rum aged in barrels with a selection of spices, most notably ginger, to produce a flavour full of brown sugar, spicy fresh ginger root, a kick of cinnamon and tropical fruits.
