Nikka From The Barrel is a blended whisky which aims to deliver full flavors and richness like it’s from the barrel, which only blenders can sniff and taste. The complex formula is created by blending more than 100 different batches of malt and grain whiskies, after which the whisky is filled into used barrels and matured for another few months. This marriage process harmonizes all components, resulting in a mellow tasting whisky that is bottled at 51.4% ABV, which is almost at the cask strength that blenders sample at. On the nose: spicy oak, orange, vanilla, toffee and chocolate. On the palate: toffee, caramel, vanilla, orange marmalade, malt, cinnamon, clove and oak. The finish is long, warming and fruity with a little wood spice. An award-winning whisky that is stunning and absolutely full of flavour.
