Super Nikka is a blended whisky born in 1962: Masataka Taketsuru devoted himself to creating this whisky soon after the passing away of his wife Rita to represent his deep love for her as well as his appreciation for her support, without which he could never have accomplished his dream to make genuine whisky in Japan. A combination of whiskies from the various Nikka distilleries, uper Nikka Rare Old is meant to represent a smooth and mellow style of blended whisky, with notes of apple, pear, honey, orange zest, toffee, oak and cocoa. A classic blend, but one of great quality and balance.
