Nikka Coffey Grain 700ml

KSh 10,000

The Coffey still is the world’s first patented continuous still invented by Aeneas Coffey in 1830. When Masataka Taketsuru returned to Japan from Scotland and established Nikka Whisky, he imported two sets of stills and used them to distill spirits that retain flavors originating from ingredients and deliver a distinctive creamy texture. Nikka Coffey Grain is a signature grain whisky predominantly made from corn and matured in refilled, remade and re-charred casks originally made from American oak. On the nose: sweet spice, mango, orange, vanilla and coconut. On the palate: toffee, grapefruit, melon, cereal and vanilla. The finish is vibrant and sweet, with notes of marmalade, fudge and oak. A release to further show off this key component in the Nikka family of whiskies.
