Glenmorangie The Duthac 1 Litre

Part of the Glenmorangie Legends series, this whisky pays homage both to St Duthac, whose grave lies near the distillery at the centre of the Royal Burgh of Tain, and to King James IV, who made an annual pilgrimage to the saint’s shrine. Part finished in Pedro Ximénez Sherry and virgin oak casks, it provides seductive aromas of pear, toffee, apple, nuts and some spicy oak as well as mouth-filling flavours of milk chocolate, caramel, toasted nuts and notes of aniseed, ginger and clove. The aftertaste once again reminds drinkers that this is a Glenmorangie, with vanilla, apricots and almonds. Plenty of rich, mellow elements throughout this one.
