The flavours are simple, but flawless, a clean, crisp 15 year old from the Dalwhinnie Distillery, also part of Diageo?s Classic Malts range. Its by far one of the lightest and cleanest of single malts. It is distilled using cold water that gracefully flows down the mountains beside the Dawhinnie Distillery in Scotland. The cold water allows for the distillers to quickly condense the spirit before subjecting it to a 15-year maturation period in American Oak Bourbon casks. Its notably sweet on the nose with a summery honey and flowery perfume, resulting to a crisp and fresh experience. Highlands, Scotland- One of highest of all Highland distilleries, Dalwhinnie produces a welcomingly gentle whisky that?s full of character. Smooth, soft and lasting flavors of heather, honey sweetness and vanilla are followed by a lingering finish of smoke, peat and malt.
Nose: Aromatic, toffee, fruit salad, lush nectarine, custard. Floral, apple blossom, honeysuckle. Apple peels, pear, touch of smoke.
Palate: Malty. Walnuts steeped in manuka honey with vanilla sponge. Gentle smoke weaves its way through the cereal with a touch of spice.
Finish: Long, malty, walnut, almond.
